Counterfeit lubricants are widespread across Egyptian distribution channels, displacing genuine Mobil products, causing severe engine damage, and eroding years of brand trust. Fake packaging is now nearly impossible to distinguish from the original with the naked eye, leaving consumers and distributors with no reliable way to confirm what they are buying.

AFAQ GeoSystems built Smart NFC, an authentication platform for Mobil that applies a tamper-evident NFC seal to every bottle. A single tap with any smartphone opens a browser and returns an instant AUTHENTICATED or FAKE result — no app to install, and the seal itself proves whether the bottle has already been opened.

NFC tamper-evident sealing

A miniature 18mm × 45mm NFC Forum Type 4 Tag is applied directly to the bottle. If the seal is peeled or the bottle opened, tampering is flagged on the very next scan.

Unique cryptographic identity

Every product unit carries its own hardware identity that cannot be cloned or duplicated, so authenticity can no longer be faked by copying packaging alone.

Instant no-app verification

Customers and distributors tap any NFC-enabled smartphone; the browser opens automatically and returns an AUTHENTICATED or FAKE result in under a second.

Tamper detection

Peeling the seal or opening the bottle is recorded on the tag and surfaced immediately on the next scan, closing the gap that made counterfeits impossible to catch.

Zero-disruption deployment

The existing manufacturing line stays completely unchanged — the only addition is applying one NFC seal per bottle.
